Studio The studio is based around an Alice Air 2000 mixing desk, and includes two CD players, a mini disc player, a computer, and a record deck (Yes we do still play vinyl at times) There is also a CTA or 'central control area' which is really the heart of the radio station. The CTA controls the transmission paths around the studio, interfaces with the computer playout system and eventually provides the route of our output to the transmitter and to the wards,offices and accommodation around the hospital. The CTA and studio infrastructure was rebuilt during 2007 due to our old premises being demolished to make way for the redevelopment of the Hospital We use the Myriad computer playout system and our presenters find it most reliable and easy to use
