Stephanie Sergeant Hi I'm Steph. I am new to SMHR and delighted to be here. I work as a journalist by trade, which I absolutely love, but I have always had a burning passion for radio ever since my student campus radio days. I also hope to bring a bit of northern charm to the station, hailing originally from Lancashire, and from a family of Liverpudlians, so let the jokes about wallets begin! Huge music fan, and love going to live gigs. I have many friends who are in bands and I often follow them around the country - as a groupie though because sadly I can't sing to save my life. A visit to the hospital as a patient led me to find SMHR and I decided to see if they would have me! It's a great station which helps so many people get through difficult times, so I look forward to contributing to its future and learning from the team - particularly about jazz from the Sunday night boys!.
