Paul Ronson
I'm Paul, a relatively seasoned campaigner in radio.
I started my broadcasting career back in the 70's with a five year
stint on Manchester Hospital Radio which broadcast to around 18
hospitals in the Manchester
area.
I then went on to work on Manchester's first commercial
station Piccadilly Radio for three years starting in the news room
and then presenting my own night time show. My claim to fame was
discovering Howard Jones who played live piano in the studio prior
to getting a recording deal. Lots of the presenters that I worked
with went on to become household names like Chris Evans, Steve Penk
and Richard Keys.
Nowadays I run a business that's putting large screens
into advertising applications on the street, in rail stations, airports,
shopping malls and anywhere that advertisers want to reach you while
you're on the move.
It's great to be back on air at Stoke Mandeville Hospital
Radio presenting the Smooth Jazz and Sounds of Philadelphia show
every Wednesday night between 7 and 8pm, and to see how studio technology
has moved on into the digital age. Make sure you call the studio
or drop us a text so we can play you your favourite song.
