I joined SMHR in the January of 1991 after working on radio and disco's for many years in the Royal Air Force. I am coming to the end of my 13th year at the station and have no idea where the time has gone!

I started off as a producer on a Saturday request show and moved on to running my own request show a few months later. I carried on non stop from then until the Spring / Summer of 2003 (apart from a couple of non scheduled 4 month trips to the Falkland Islands) when I handed over the show to Steve Andrews. I think I probably hold the record as the person who has done a request show the longest at SMHR but am happy to be contradicted

I now do a regular hourly show on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 8pm called "Two's Company" where I choose 8 artists and play one of their tracks in the first half hour and another in the second half.

I am still actively involved in fund raising and do disco's and outside broadcasts to raise money for the station
